Eccentricity.
(1 minute read.)
Yeah...
We all have our little foibles… the slightly strange habits or characteristics, the harmless quirks.
I've often found them to offer insights on the nature of a person, and useful in business deals.
I certainly have plenty, some of which embarrass me. Others, I quite like; for example, my recent bathmat purchase.
I bought it for the kids?
Hardly… my youngest moved out years ago. He's 38.
No, I bought it for myself… I like it, it makes me smile.
In a particularly ridiculous episode of my Asperger's behavior I was struggling to make a decision on what bathmat to buy as a replacement for the no-longer-sensibly-useable one I'd retained for too long (I don't like, and struggle with, change).
Many of those available (often white or avocado color) resembled something from a hospital, or the 1950s. Perhaps even a hospital in the 1950s.
I ummed-and-ahhed, over several days (remember, I did say earlier that it was ridiculous) genuinely desperately trying to be sensible. And bought the frog.
So yeah, it's here as another example of me.
